Breaking news : Hull City ‘expected’ to sign Leeds United defender, formerly of Luton Town and Birmingham City

After his contract with Leeds United expires, Hull City is expected to finalize the transfer of defender Cody Drameh, according to reports.
The 22-year-old is formally a free agent, but Leeds offered him new terms at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 campaign. He struggled to secure a regular berth in the side, so even with the offer of a new contract, he did not seem to be in the picture at Elland Road. Baz Cooper of Hull Live reports that Drameh is expected at the club today (July 23), and the Tigers are closing in on signing him. He might now become the team’s second summer acquisition of seniority, after Ryan Giles joined on a permanent basis from Luton Town. 2020 saw Drameh go from Fulham to Leeds, where he was hailed as one of the team’s most promising young players. At the under-23 level, he made a name for himself by winning young caps for England and making inroads into Leeds’ starting lineup.

After making successful loan moves to Luton and Cardiff City, he was promoted to the Premier League. But neither was to be the spark that ignited a revolution in West Yorkshire.

After a tumultuous season, he was loaned out to Birmingham City last season, but he was unable to stop the Blues from losing the Championship.
