Defend Devonte. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN tweets that Graham and the Trail Blazers have reached a one-year agreement. Throughout the previous two seasons, Graham made 46 appearances for the Spurs.

Following his trade from the Spurs to the Hornets earlier this month, Graham found himself on the free agent market after Charlotte dismissed him. Before being let go, Graham’s $12.65MM contract was only partially guaranteed for $2.85MM.

The details of the agreement with the Blazers are unknown, but Sean Highkin of Rose Garden Report thinks it’s a camp agreement given that the team presently has all 15 roster places occupied. Dalano Banton is one of those players whose contract is partially guaranteed. If he is waived prior to opening night, his guaranteed salary of $2.2MM is reduced to $217,533.

The 29-year-old Graham averaged just 5.0 points per game on a.352/.301/.813 shooting line while playing sparingly for the Spurs in the previous campaign. With only 23 appearances, he played 13.6 minutes every night. Graham played for the Hornets from 2018 to the start of his NBA career. He played for the Pelicans during 2021–2022 and a portion of 2022–2023 before being traded to San Antonio in the middle of that campaign. Graham had a stellar season in 2019–20, averaging 18.2 points, 7.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. He placed fifth in the Most Improved Player voting.
