Morant And The Grizzlies Will Be Motivated To Prove The Doubters Wrong

Newzlines

For the longest time, Memphis Grizzlies’ Ja Morant has been sidelined due to various suspensions and injuries. Mike Miller, the All-Star guard’s agent, has sent out a warning to the league about his return next season.

The Grizzlies struggled mightily in the 2023-24 NBA season, finishing with a 27-55 record. This was largely due to injuries that derailed their campaign before it even started. Morant missed the first 25 games due to a league suspension, and later suffered a season-ending torn labrum after playing just nine games.

Other key players like Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart also missed significant time due to various injuries. Moreover, the Grizzlies used a record-breaking 33 different players and 50 different starting lineups as they were decimated by the injury bug.

They were officially eliminated from playoff contention last March, ending their postseason streak in the process. However, with a healthy Morant and retooled roster, the Grizzlies are poised for a resurgence in 2024-25.

Even though the new season is still months away, a lot of basketball fans are eager to see what kind of Morant will come back to the league. In a video shared by The OGs Show on X, Miller shared an update of his client.

With Morant back in the lineup, along with rising stars like Jaren Jackson Jr. and Bane, the Grizzlies are poised for a resurgence. They used the 2023-24 season to retool the roster, adding pieces like GG Jackson II, Vince Williams Jr., and highly-touted draft pick Zach Edey.

The Grizzlies are poised for a major bounce-back in the 2024-25 seaso. With a core of Morant, Bane, and Jackson, they are expected to reclaim their place among the Western Conference’s elite.  Despite a disappointing 2023-24 campaign due to numerous injuries, Memphis is projected to win 46-50 games next season and secure a top-six seed in the West.

Morant and the Grizzlies will be motivated to prove the doubters wrong and reclaim their spot among the top teams in the Western Conference. If Miller ‘s claim is true, expect teams around to prepare for Memphis and their upcoming campaign.
