Castleford Tigers have received a major boost ahead of their Magic Weekend clash with Huddersfield Giants with co-captain Paul McShane returning to the squad.
McShane is one of four changes that head coach Craig Lingard has made ahead of the game on Sunday evening with the hooker coming in to replace injured youngster Cain Robb, who will likely miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
The other changes to the squad see full-backs Fletcher Rooney and Luke Hooley drop out as well as Jenson Windley in place of Will Tate, Brad Martin and Corey Hall.
It means Castleford Tigers could be back to near full strength in their centres barring Sam Wood who suffered a season-ending injury on international duty when England played France.
As for Huddersfield Giants, they remain without Adam Clune but Esan Marsters makes a return which is a major boost with the centre being one of the club’s best before his presumed season-ending injury.
Marsters will head to Salford Red Devils for 2025 but after being named in the 21-man squad could play a further six games for the Giants.
The winner of this game on Sunday will cement their place in the ninth-spot in Super League and also claim the title of the team with the best-ever Magic Weekend record.
