Latest Update On The Boston Bruins And Jeremy Swayman’s Contract Talk

Jeremy Swayman of the Boston Bruins is currently in a contract dispute with the team and nothing has been working for either side.

Rumors claim Swayman wants $10 million per year while the Bruins only want to pay $6.2 million per year. General Manager Don Sweeney says a deal is coming, however, it is impossible to tell what is going to happen. At this stage, it seems like Swayman is going to holdout all through training camp. That means the Bruins could be in trouble come the regular season.

As a result, the Bruins have decided to make a move. According to a new report, the team just signed Kasimir Kaskisuo to a PTO. Kaskisuo is a bit of a social media sensation and is a journeyman. However, he has very little NHL experience at this point. He is mostly just a fan-favorite.

One has to wonder whether or not the Bruins are going to be able to make it work with Swayman. The team has plenty of goalies in the weeds, and Kaskisuo may impress some people, especially if he makes it until the preseason. Either way, things are getting very interesting in Boston.

Kaskisuo last played in the AHL with the Laval Rocket where he put up some decent statistics. Only time will tell whether or not he will be able to translate his skills to his upcoming PTO.
