Boston Bruins Goaltender Trade Rumors And Updates

Jeremy Swayman trade rumors are now running rampant after it was revealed that the Boston Bruins and the goaltender are on completely different wavelengths when it comes to getting a deal done.

Ryan Dixon of Sportsnet came out with a piece on Swayman and the teams that could be willing to make a trade. He made the case for three franchises, all of which are in the Western Conference. All but one of these teams are likely missing the playoffs this season. The teams in question are the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Hockey Club, and Chicago Blackhawks. Below, you can find some trade proposals.

‘The cap is certainly an issue, but the bigger roadblock for Vegas might be its inability to put together a truly enticing package. Hill and Karlsson are good pieces, but Vegas has eviscerated its stores of first-round picks and close-to-ready prospects in past deals.’

‘Utah could offer up either Karel Vejmelka or Connor Ingram as puckstoppers who could form a tandem with Korpisalo. Vejmelka has just one year remaining on his contract, while Ingram has two. In either case, it’s not a huge commitment and Ingram, in particular, could have some untapped upside.’

‘Chicago could send back Petr Mrazek – who had a .907 save percentage on a bottom-feeding Blackhawks team last season – and likely eat a decent portion of $4.25 million cap hit he has for two seasons.’

One has to wonder if any of these teams truly would do something. That said, the Boston Bruins need to receive something enticing. After all, Swayman was and is supposed to be their franchise guy.
