The Boston Bruins announced its Fan Fest Tour will make a stop in Lewiston. The tour will be at The Colisée on Friday, Aug. 23.
The team will round out the Centennial celebration with 100 days of hockey. The initiative aims to educate, engage, and grow the next generation of youth hockey players and Bruins fans.
“Engaging the next generation of Bruins fans has been an important part of our Centennial celebration,” said Boston Bruins President Cam Neely. “We are excited to bring the spirit of the Boston Bruins to fans in their home cities and look forward to continuing to unite communities across New England through the game of hockey for years to come.”
During the Fan Fest there will be Bruins alumni appearances with photo opportunities and a Q&A session. There will be hockey interactives and kid-friendly BFit fitness activities.
There will also be professional, personalized equipment fittings for participants of Learn to Play.
Admission to the festival is free but it is highly encouraged you register in advance to expedite your entry. You can register here.
As part of the tour’s stop in Maine, the Boston Bruins Foundation has pledged to make a $200,000 donation in its continued efforts to support and uplift the Lewiston community.
