Castleford Tigers look to get back to winning ways against a Leigh Leopards side that demolished St Helens last week with a big game under the Wheldon Road lights.
Craig Lingard has made four changes to last week’s 21-man squad, with Luke Hooley, Sam Hall and George Griffin all dropping out alongside the suspended Liam Horne.
George Griffin drops out due to a failed HIA at the weekend, while Sam Hall was also injured – Luke Hooley is on loan for Batley Bulldogs
Coming into the side is Liam Watts, who’s back after an injury sustained against Catalans Dragons two weeks ago, and Daniel Hindmarsh-Takyi, who has only made one Super League appearance since signing from NSW Cup side Northern Pride.
In addition, two new names are included – Akim Matvejev and Jenson Windley, who have been playing in the Reserves’ team this year.
Leigh Leopards see Gareth O’Brien drop out in the only change for their squad – and it’s a straight swap, as new signing Bailey Hodgson moves in to the squad for a potential debut against his former side, where he made his Super League debut as a teenager.
Jacob Douglas and the injured Brad O’Neill are the two dropping out for Matt Peet’s side.
Wigan have named Sam Eseh in the side, after a loan deal at Leeds RHinos, confirming that he has been recalled.
Eseh impressed at prop for the Rhinos, with five appearances, three starts and three wins in his time at Headingley.
Last week, both Matt Peet and Jai Field said it would be a ‘few’ games before he returned to playing, but he’s named and could potentially feature in two days’ time.
Meanwhile, the Giants have made four changes to the side defeated by Leeds Rhinos last week, with Sam Hewitt and Andre Savelio both returning after being banned for two games after Grade D charges.
