- That’s how many points Dallas Mavericks superstar duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored between them in Sunday’s massive Game 3 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
At certain points in the game, it looked like the Wolves were going to steal Game 3 on Dallas’ home court to secure their first win of the series. Kyrie, in particular, had other plans, as he came up big in crunch time to help lead the Mavs to a 116-107 win and a virtually insurmountable 3-0 series lead.
Irving scored 12 of his 33 points in the final frame as he came up with clutch basket after clutch basket. There was just no way the eight-time All-Star was going to let the Wolves escape with a win in this one.
After the game, Doncic had nothing but high praise for his backcourt partner’s “incredible” performance. Luka sounded off on Kyrie proving once again that he is indeed “Mr. Fourth Quarter”:
Doncic, of course, wasn’t bad either. He finished with 33 points on 10-of-20 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, five steals, and five triples in 41 minutes of action. He did all that with a sprained left knee.
At this point, the Mavs are looking like they have every intention of sweeping the Wolves in Game 4 on Tuesday.
