Friday Kentucky Offers Rising Senior Chaz Coleman From Ohio

Warren (Ohio) Harding athlete Chaz Coleman (6-foot-5, 255) reported an offer from Kentucky Friday. Coleman has seen his recruitment expand over the past week-plus with an additional offer from Ole Miss.

Coleman says that UK most likely wants him to play tight end, but it sounds as though those conversations are ongoing. The defensive coaches have a plan for him as well. He is an aggressive athlete that could certainly handle linebacker or edge rusher responsibilities. His high school has asked him to play quarterback this year.

Tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow is expected to serve as his primary recruiter. He intends to visit at some point but that has not been solidified.

Coleman is rated an 87 on a scale to 100 by 247Sports, which equates to the nation’s No. 56 athlete. The Ohio native also plays basketball. He averaged 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.9 steals as a junior, according to MaxPreps.

Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class currently has 17 commitments and ranks No. 27 nationally. A commitment from Coleman would give the program its seventh from the Buckeye State as part of the current cycle.
