On Monday against Nikola Jokic and the Serbian national team, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo gave the entire world a sneak peek at his soon-to-be-launched Nike Giannis Freak 6.
The latest iteration of his signature shoe line is set to hit shelves later this month and naturally, there’s no better way to advertise it than for Antetokounmpo himself to wear it on the international stage.
It would also be a good idea to gift each member of the Greece team a pair of his new kicks.
Giving out his new pair of sneakers has become a bit of a yearly tradition for Antetokounmpo. It’s his Bucks teammates who are usually on the receiving end of this wonderful surprise but since the former back-to-back MVP is abroad with the national squad, it’s the Greek team who were blessed on this particular occasion.
Giannis recently shared a video of himself playing Santa Clause in July as he gifted each member of the national team a fresh pair of kicks.

The surprise comes just in time as the Greeks prepare to kick off their quest for an Olympic gold medal. They are coming off a brutal blowout loss against Serbia so perhaps this gesture from their talisman will help lift everyone’s spirits.
Greece opens its Olympic account on Saturday in a highly-anticipated matchup against a star-studded Canada side, who themselves are considered one of the favorites to win it all — outside of Team USA, of course.
