hot deal:Continued negotiations over a £10 million-rated striker connected to Sunderland ahead of a possible summer transfer

According to reports, the striker connected to Sunderland is “in talks” about joining a summer transfer.

According to reports, Birmingham City and Fulham are still in negotiations over a £6 million deal for striker Jay Stansfield.

A year ago, the 21-year-old was strongly connected to Sunderland, but he decided to sign a loan with Birmingham City instead, where he would score 13 goals in all competitions even after The Blues were demoted to League One.

In January of last year, the Black Cats were also rumored to be interested in Stansfield, as it appeared Fulham could be able to bring up the England youth international from Birmingham City. But the forward stayed at St Andrews and the move failed to materialize.

A report from The Telegraph states that a number of Championship clubs have shown interest but Birmingham City are “bidding to pull off a huge statement of intent”. They also add that talks are ongoing between the two clubs.

Birmingham City will play in League One next season after last campaign’s relegation and will be managed by former Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace.
