From having to find his assistant coaches to filling out a complete roster, the UK coach has been working relentlessly for the BBN. It appears he has also been recruiting some new members to the BBN family.
First, it was Nate Bargatze who joined the new UK Coach at the Joe Craft Center working on his game before a show at Rupp Arena. Now, Coach Pope is recruiting a country music icon to join the Kentucky fandom, as he presented Tim McGraw with his own custom jersey before he took the Rupp Arena stage a few days back.
Carly Pearce, a Taylor Mill (KY) native, also rocked the blue and white throughout her performance the same night as well.
So much gratitude for the Legend @thetimmcgraw for taking time to say hi. AND for True Blue Kentucky star @carlypearce who repped the CATS for her entire set! Thanks for being so kind to the Pope girls. No place like Rupp! #standingroomonlytour2024 pic.twitter.com/AhW8Vp6TgG
Under John Calipari, we got quite used to seeing some big-time stars arrive in Lexington to visit the UK program. Whether it was Drake, Lil Wayne, or LeBron James, the Kentucky program has always attracted some major star power. Now we can add a few more names to the list.
