Sheffield Wednesday: West Brom and Sheffield United forward linked to a ‘accepted’ £1.3 million bid

Sory Kaba, a forward connected to both Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United, is rumored to have had a £1.3 million deal accepted.
The 29-year-old made an impression during an impressive loan spell at Cardiff City during his brief 2022–2023 season in English football. He joined Spanish team Las Palmas after leaving Danish side FC Midtjylland later in the year, though he did not return to the Championship.

Kaba has been connected to a return to the United Kingdom ever since his first La Liga season ended. He’s reportedly been linked to West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United, and Wednesday has reportedly seen him as a replacement for the in-demand Ike Ugbo. Transfer expert Darren Witcoop reports that Kaba has an accepted offer from a Championship club. It’s unclear who the purportedly interested party is because several teams are rumored to have shown interest in the Guinea international.

This summer, Sheffield United lost a forward to Las Palmas; Oli McBurnie is currently playing at the Estadio Gran Canaria after his Blades contract expired.

Meanwhile, Wednesday has lost their lucky forward, Ugbo, who was only signed by Troyes on loan. Although there have been rumors that he may be moving, Wednesday is reportedly up against competition for his signature.

Given that Hull City is expected to get Brandon Thomas-Asante from West Brom, The Hawthorns may also require reinforcements in the attacking ranks. According to reports, a deal for £3 million was completed after the Tigers made an initial offer of £2.5 million.
