The Basketball Mural of Kyrie Irving in the Philippines is Going Viral

-

One-time NBA champion Kyrie Irving seems destined to never again achieve the heights he had when playing alongside fellow superstar LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers, following catastrophic spells with the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.

Luckily, Irving’s career took a turn for the better just as everyone was writing him off. He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks to play with Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic.

The team failed miserably in their first season together as Dallas’s new dynamic combo, failing even to qualify for the NBA playoffs. However, things turned around entirely in their second season together.

During their time together on the court last season, Irving blossomed, and the Mavericks went on to win the Western Conference and surpass all expectations.

The Dallas Mavericks are a club on the rise, and Irving’s fan base is beginning to come alive again even though Dallas fell to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Irving has now been memorialized with an amazing mural on a court in the Philippines thanks to Kyrie Center.

Given that Doncic is playing some of his greatest basketball and Irving is revitalizing his career in Dallas, the Mavericks have a good chance of winning the NBA for many years to come.

It will be interesting to watch if Irving and Doncic, who will face fierce competition in the Western Conference, can build on their stellar 2023–24 season and elevate it further the following year.
