What George Karl Say About Ja Morant

Watching Morant is an exciting experience and he has earned the favor of former NBA head coach George Karl via his personal X account.

The Memphis Grizzlies had a tough 2023-24 NBA season as they struggled with injuries to their key players that plummeted them down the Western Conference standings.

However, there’s a sense of optimism that Memphis will be able to get back to competing in the playoffs assuming they get dealt a clean bill of health during the 2024-25 NBA season.

The Grizzlies’ success starts and ends with Ja Morant who served a suspension at the beginning of last season and then was forced to miss the remainder of the year after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery.

At his peak, Morant is one of the most thrilling players in the NBA because of his speed, fearlessness getting to the basket and his athleticism near the rim.

“Ja is one of my favorite players. He’s a young talent that plays with tremendous heart. He has to learn the game better and find a good path off the court!! I’m rooting for him,” Karl posted.

There’s no denying how much passion and energy Morant plays with when he’s on the court and it sounds like he’s endeared himself to Karl who’s been around the game of basketball for a long time.

Morant should be good to go once the new season tips off and it’ll be interesting to see what he and the Grizzlies can do this time around.
