Wizards Star Opens New Restaurant, Stays Put for Now

-

A trade for Kyle Kuzma was one of the most talked about possible deals in the run-up to this offseason. However, trade talks seemed to have cooled off after early rumors that he may sign with the Kings or Mavericks. Once the season begins, there’s no reason they can’t make a comeback. It appears that the star forward will remain in Washington, DC, for the time being. However, Kuzma’s business may be based somewhere despite the fact that both his residence and basketball team are in Washington, DC.

Not in a trade right now, but Kyle Kuzma recently opened a new restaurant
Kuzma recently franchised his second Mahana Fresh, as it happens. Mahana Fresh is a very health-conscious fast-food restaurant. Their specialty is bowls, which are loaded with protein, vegetables, and healthy carbs. It is the kind of restaurant that an NBA player who cared about his health might think about franchising because it has a ton of vegan and gluten-free options. Due to the popularity of the Gainesville, Virginia, Mahana Fresh business, Kuzma opened a second facility in Houston, Texas.

That being said, Kuzma is not limited to restaurants. The Kyle Kuzma Family Foundation was established by Kuzma with the goal of assisting single mothers and their kids. He has made significant financial investments in lifestyle and fashion items (just take a peek at some of his pre-game attire). Prospective Trade Suitors for Kyle Kuzma
It does appear that a deal for Kyle Kuzma is less likely now than it was earlier in the summer. The main assumption was that just one forward—Kuzma or Deni Avdija—would remain after adding a top non-guard draft pick. If everyone is satisfied, the Wizards may decide to cease talking about a Kuzma trade after Avdija’s trade to the Blazers. Kuzma is in the prime of his career at the age of 29. He’s one of the greatest players on the Wizards and gets a lot of touches and shots, but I’m sure he wants to win another ring like he did with the Lakers in 2020. With a significantly improved roster this offseason, the team has hope as well. It’s possible that Kuzma is pleased where he is and that the organization is happy with him, in which case no trade will take place. Naturally, the opposite is also quite likely. Trade discussions for Kuzma are still going on even if they have slowed down. The Kings and Mavericks, the two teams mentioned above, both require a high-scoring wing with experience handling pressure. In particular, Kuzma might be the missing link for the Mavericks. There are positions where the Mavericks are really strong. Two of the best guards in the NBA, Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, are their top two players. Better yet, the team added another All-Star guard who can complement Irving and Doncic to the mix when they signed Klay Thompson in free agency. The squad shown that they have a lot of depth at the big man position going forward. Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively are two youthful, athletic rim protectors who can easily drop lob passes and block shots, making them the ideal foils for their guard counterparts. For now, the team’s power forwards are PJ Washington and Markieff Morris, but they don’t really have a small forward. Derrick Jones Jr. was lost to the Clippers in free agency.
